Die norwegische Rock-Band Ask Carol aus Tynset & Trondheim touren seit 2016 quer durch die Welt. So spielten sie bereits in Südkorea, den Philippinen, in den skandinavischen Ländern und nicht zuletzt bereits zweimal beim SXSW in den USA. Außerdem begleiteten Sie schon The Brian Jonestown Massacre und die Band Magna Carta Cartel auf Ihren Tourneen. Seit 2017 arbeitet die Band mit dem norwegischen Indie Label „Grappa“ zusammen, mit der sie auch Ihre erste Singe „Gonna Do It“ veröffentlichten, welche sowohl in Norwegen, als auch in Deutschland auf Platz 1 der Spotify Viral Top 50-Liste stand. Ask & Carol spielen beide mehrere Instrumente, sodass auf der Bühne ein Feuerwerk aus verschiedenen Sounds abgefeuert wird, wobei die Rockmusik stets im Vordergrund steht. Ihre Inspiration haben sie von Künstlern wie The Kills, Jack White, Twenty One Pilots und Pink Floyd.

The Norwegian rock duo Ask Carol started in 2016 by Carol from Tynset and Ask from Trondheim. Their dynamic music takes you from warm and mellow melodies, through ambient soundscapes, with bursts of explosive energy and heavy riffs. Together with a punk attitude, you could draw lines of inspiration to artists like The Kills, Jack White, TwentyOnePilots and Pink Floyd, blending genres, with a solid base in rock. With Carol's characteristic vocals, two guitars in front, and a DIY attitude, Ask Carol creates a wall of sound. Multitasking with their guitars, bass, drums and fuzz-synth, they challenge the conception of what a duo can be. With the badass woman Carol, they have one of Norways few female rock vocalists and guitarists in front.
They have already toured internationally, having played in South Korea, Philippines, USA (SXSW two times) and Japan, in addition to Norway, Denmark and Sweden. This fall they're going on a mini support tour, playing support for The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Magna Carta Cartel in Sweden and Denmark.
In 2017 they signed a record deal with Norways biggest indie label, Grappa, and their first single, Gonna Do It (#1 on Spotify's Viral top 50 in Norway and Germany), was released in March that same year. Their debut EP was recorded together with Swedish producer Tobias Fröberg (Ane Brun, Lisa Ekdahl, Greni, Fay Wildhagen), in Gotland, Sweden. After having released three singles and their debut EP, they are now working on new material, while also setting up a workshop where they will expand on the brand Ask Carol, creating art, clothes and videos.
